Given the fluid nature of the coronavirus outbreak and the potential need to get information
to you fast, we will be posting future updates using a number of platforms to combat
the potential lag time involved in sending bulk emails. Please check lsu.edu/coronavirus and official LSU social media accounts (LSU Facebook and LSU Twitter), as well as continuing to monitor your emails, to be sure you’re receiving the most
up-to-date information and to ensure it’s from an official source. We’ll also notify the news media if and when
developments occur so that they can help us get the word out as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, practicing everyday preventative hygiene is the most important thing
we can all do right now. That means thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water
at regular intervals, covering coughs and sneezes, limiting close contact with others
and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. The CDC has a comprehensive list of
COVID-19 preventative behaviors at cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community.
