Advisory Committee

The Graduate School has specifically defined requirements regarding the advisory committee. The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering will follow these regulations. The committee:

• Must consist of at least four members of the graduate faculty, including the Major Professor, who acts as chair and who must be from the major Department.
• Must include a minimum of two graduate faculty members from the major Department, at least one of who must be a full member.
• May include members from the major Department or from other Departments pertinent to the student’sarea of specialization; if a minor is chosen then one member must be from the declared outside minor.
