Biography

Jonathan Osborne joins the Louisiana State University English Department as an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric after earning his Ph.D. from Northeastern University. He previously held a Dissertation Diversity Fellowship at Ithaca College in the Writing Department where he taught courses on argument and propaganda and persuasion. His research attends to African American rhetoric(s) and rhetorics of difference with a focus on Black conservative rhetoric and inclusive pedagogy. He co-edited Landmark Essays on Rhetorics of Difference (2018) which represents theories and approaches to rhetoric developed from the experiences and knowledges of diverse scholars, foundational to the shape of Rhetoric and Composition studies today.
