Construction Management Scholarships

The recipient of this scholarship must be a full time CM undergrad student and have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 for all college work. This scholarship may be held for several years, however, this scholarship shall be terminated when the recipient receives his/her undergraduate degree.

The recipient of this scholarship must be a full time CM undergrad student. They must also reside in one of the following parishes: Acadia, Allen, Ascension, Assumption, Avoyelles, EBR, WBR, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Evangeline, East & West Feliciana, Grant, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Lafourche, LaSalle, Livingston, Natchitoches, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, Rapides, Sabine, St, Bernard, St Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Vermilion, Vernon, Washington, Winn. In addition, they must have completed 2 semesters of college coursework.

The recipient of this scholarship must be a full time CM undergrad student at LSU-Baton Rouge. The scholarship can be held for a maximum of three years. The student must maintain a 2.75 GPA.

The recipient of this scholarship must be a full time undergrad or graduate student at LSU enrolled in the College of Engineering, Department of Construction Management. Students must be a junior or higher, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be enrolled in CM 4206. This scholarship is only available when the course is offered.

Established to encourage outstanding graduate students to pursue research in areas in line with Chevron needs. Prospective Ph.D. candidates should show relationship between research program and the College's signature research area of Energy. Applicants pursuing an MS degree should be working directly in the area of energy research. The Chevron Engineering Graduate Assistantship Supplement will provide a $5,000 stipend for a year and may be renewed for a second year based on academic and research progress.

There are two Scholarships given by NAWIC, one in the Fall and one in the Spring.  These Scholarships are intended to recognize outstanding CM students. Below are the scholarship descriptions and requirements:

The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Gulf Coast Chapter is dedicated to leading the growth and acceptance of Construction Management as a profession discipline that can add significant value to the entire Construction process, from conception to ongoing operation.

To  promote CMAA’s objectives, the CMAA Gulf Coast Chapter will award three (3) Scholarships to qualified students to help defray the costs of pursuing a degree in Construction Management or a related- degree program in the Chapter’s region. The value of the scholarship varies from year to year, but will typically average $1,000 each.

  • Must have completed a minimum of one (1) full academic year of studies, and must have a minimum of one (1) full academic year remaining prior to completing the degree being pursued.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a Construction Management (CM) degree program, or  other CM-related degree program in the Gulf Coast Chapter region, and show a strong interest in a career in CM, as demonstrated by a response to the essay question in the application package.

Building upon the proud history of NAHB’s wide range of support for Construction Education, the National Housing Endowment, Home Builders Institute (HBI), and state and local Home Builders Associations (HBAs) continue to find avenues to educate students on the many opportunities a career in Construction offers. Students within the Construction Management and Construction Sciences majors to apply for the Retail Contractors Scholarship. RCA has recently expanded our scholarship opportunity nationwide. RCA’s mission is to provide students with scholarship funding to expand their undergraduate career opportunities. This scholarship will be awarded annually as an award of $1500 for full-time, degree-seeking students. RCA is determined to support the next generation’s Education and interest within Construction Management and Construction Sciences fields. Full criteria for scholarship eligibility and the application may be found at scholarship.agc.org. Students in ABET or ACCE-accredited civil engineering or Construction Management programs are eligible for $2,500 Scholarships, renewable for up to three years. Students must be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year (or the final year of a five-year program) in order to apply. Graduate students are eligible for $3,750 annually for up to two years. 

The TEXO Foundation awarded $25,000 in Scholarships to students from regional universities. Applications are for students interested in working in the Construction industry with at least one semester remaining in their program of study (including Graduate students). Students are encouraged to apply for the Scholarships on an annual basis. After receiving the applications, the TEXO Foundation reviews the applications and determines which students will receive an opportunity to interview for a scholarship. Many factors weigh into the decision of awarding Scholarships, and the Foundation takes time to visit with the candidates in a panel-style interview. Applications are typically due by the first week of December. Applications can be obtained by contacting TEXO by email.

NASCLA 2023 Scholarship Program!

The NASCLA Scholarship Program is designed to help students pursue licenses, certificates and/or degrees in the construction industry, preparing them for gainful employment. The scholarship awards include a complimentary invitation to the NASCLA 2023 Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas for each recipient, including travel arrangements and hotel accommodations. Applications will be judged by industry professionals and your application should reflect creativity, innovation, passion, and your ability to communicate. These scholarships provide a chance for three (3) recipients to be awarded up to $5,000 towards program tuition.

Top Recipients Receive:

1st Place - $5,000

2nd Place - $3,000

3rd Place - $2,000

The NASCLA Scholarship Program provides industry-wide recognition and networking opportunities! All applications will be scored by industry professionals from the NASCLA Contractors Committee.

Francis R. Dugan Scholarship Application Now Available
Do you know a construction student deserving of a scholarship? Help them by sharing this information about the American Institute of Constructors Education (AIC) Foundation Francis R. Dugan Scholarship. The scholarship was created by the AIC’s Education Foundation to award financial assistance to students in accredited construction management-related Associate and Baccalaureate degree programs. The scholarship is named for longtime AIC Member and AIC Education Foundation Founder Francis R. Dugan, CPC, FAIC. Mr. Dugan passed away on December 26, 2014. Mr. Dugan was a member of the AIC for over 45 years, a Past National President, and CPC #93. Each year, at least one $2,000 scholarship will be awarded.
Eligibility
1. The candidate must be a full-time student within an accredited construction management-related Associate or Baccalaureate degree program. Students within 12 months of college graduation are not eligible.
2. Students must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.
3. Incoming freshmen are not eligible.
Application Process
Students who wish to apply for the Francis R. Dugan Scholarship must comply with all of the following requirements:
Applicants must submit an official application between February 1, 2023 and March 15, 2023. The scholarship will be announced by April 15, 2023 and payable by check soon thereafter.
1. An official application will consist of a completed and signed Francis R. Dugan Scholarship Application ( link to application here) and supporting documentation as listed on the application. The application and supporting documentation must be submitted together. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
2. Scholarships are not automatically renewed, but may be applied for, in consecutive years.
