Conveniently located at the corner of Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive, make the Welcome Center your first stop when visiting campus. The Welcome Center can offer visitor parking passes, answer parking questions, and provide maps & directions for campus and the surrounding area.
Visitor Parking: Visitors to campus can park in the metered parking spaces located throughout campus, including the Welcome Center Lot, Thomas Boyd Visitor Lot, Union Square Garage (floors 2-4) on East Campus Drive, Ag Center Lot, South Stadium Lot, West Stadium Lot, and Touchdown Village West Lot. Metered parking is $1.50 an hour and is in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Visitors may purchase a temporary parking permit for parking in Zone 1 - Commuter, Zone 3 - Residential, and All Zone parking lots on campus for $10 a day. Campus parking and driving restrictions are in effect on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For LSU staff, students, and campus guests: The Welcome Center can help with parking arrangements for you and your guests. Welcome Center staff can have parking permits ready in advance so that you can mail them to your guests or have them ready for immediate pick-up when they arrive on campus. The Welcome Center can also handle parking arrangements for large conferences, seminars, or meetings that you plan to hold at LSU.
Reserved parking for guests can also be arranged for your VIPs by validating a metered space or reserving a space in a reserved lot.
The center also continues to issue permits up to five days a year at no charge for students or employees who forget their permit or leave it in another vehicle.
