No. Online orientation is a series of modules which must be completed PRIOR to your orientation date. Online orientation provides a basic overview of information, preparing you for more detailed content shared during the Bengal Bound Live Virtual Day.

On average, students need about two hours to complete the modules, and they do not have to be done all at once. If you need a break, your progress will be saved for you. This information will be available to you throughout your time at LSU, so we hope you will continue to refer back to it as a resource. You will receive an email with login instructions in December.

The online orientation will cover the following topics: Academics, Financial Matters, Support Services, Student Life, Policies & Safety

Though not required, family members/guests who serve in primary support roles are encouraged to participate in the Bengal Bound Live Virtual Day along with you. We have many programs and services specifically designed for family members. Louisiana State University believes that the college experience represents a collaboration involving the student, the family of the student and the University. We invite family members to participate in Bengal Bound. We hope that by participating, you will become informed about the University’s academic programs, policies, facilities and services.

Family members and guests will participate in a majority of sessions together during Bengal Bound. While the student attends the Orientation Group, families will take part in the Introduction to being a Tiger Family Member session.

Freshman Students:

Orientation advisors will begin creating your schedule once you register for Bengal Bound Orientation.  After your schedule is finalized, you will receive an email with instructions on how to view it and how to set up an appointment with an advisor, if needed.
