Ashton Dalton, a senior double majoring in Animal Sciences and Religious Studies, represented LSU Undergraduate Research at both the International Embryo Technology Society’s 50th annual conference in Denver, Colorado, and LSU Discover Day 2024 for his research on cryoprotectant influence on bovine oocyte mitochondrial function, aiming to optimize preservation methods for cattle reproduction.

PhD candidate Ashley Booth, who studies coastal wetlands at LSU's School of Renewable Natural Resources, recently completed a NOAA Sea Grant Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship, where she supported federal policy efforts related to the environment.

In her graduating year as a senior in Textiles, Apparel, and Merchandising, specializing in apparel design, Susan Lindrew creatively transformed American alligator leather into high-fashion apparel. Under the guidance of a mentor in zero waste patternmaking, Lindrew's resulting wool coat showcased her innovative and sustainable approach, utilizing all parts of the alligator hide to craft a distinctive, oversized cardigan-style coat with a camel-colored wool body and dark brown alligator details, hinting at future possibilities for zero waste designs involving unconventional materials.
