A Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (BS in ChE) from Louisiana State University provides an opportunity to apply fundamentals of chemical engineering to design, install, and operate complete processes for the efficient production of materials and tailor the properties of materials of specific applications. Our department offers a premier undergraduate program designed to prepare students for successful and impactful careers in one of the most versatile engineering disciplines. Undergraduates engage in a curriculum designed to touch all basic courses in mathematics, chemistry, physics, and chemical engineering. Through a series of elective courses, students may select a formal concentration in one of three areas: biomolecular, environmental, or materials studies.
