Now taking applications - LSU Online Post Baccalaureate Certificate (PBC) degree program for off-campus non-traditional students.

Students earning the PBC can participate in LSU commencement exercises to receive their diploma.

This is a degree program approved through the Board of Regents. It is the first online post baccalaureate degree program ever to be offered by Louisiana State University.  The PBC will be conferred upon students who demonstrate work of high merit that entails scholarship and outstanding academic achievement through six online CM courses specifically designed to provide the basic core knowledge needed for a construction manager. Students who complete the requirements for the PBC program will acquire a perspective on the role of Construction Management in both industry and society.  This online program will prepare career change graduate students (especially those architecture and business) or qualified military personnel. It will provide industry and governmental agencies with qualified individuals with skills sets developed using construction management core principles.

Military veterans or veterans in the field can take advantage of the program while deployed.  Business or architecture majors can seek the certificate as they begin a career change process into the construction industry.  The construction industry in Louisiana and the US has a large population of people in managerial positions needing formal education in construction management.  This program would also benefit individuals from the various city municipalities, government agencies, insurance assessors, property appraisers, realtors, marketing professionals, accountants, attorneys, and lenders.

The online version of the PBC is intended for off-campus, non-traditional students.

Admission into the online PBC in CM require:

  • Earned bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the equivalent from a foreign institution

The certificate helps to prepare students who want to take the American Institute of Constructors (AIC) Associate Constructor Level I Exam.

The U.S. Department of Education requires colleges to disclose a variety of information for any financial aid eligible program that prepares students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation. D
