I do this type of work because I want to use my talent and abilities to make a difference in this world, while gaining new skills and abilities as go along. In the 90s, I grew up with computers and technology as they were emerging into the scene. In elementary school, in junior high school, and in high school, the teachers and staff made engaging with technology fun. I took typing classes in junior high school and computer classes on Microsoft Office in high school, which expanded my knowledge. I also, received my first laptop in the 9th grade. This increased my discovery and curiosity in the realm of technology, where I began to research more about the world around me.

"I learned from my time living on campus is networking and meeting people is important. Making new connections with others allow me to grow as a student because I was able to learn more about other cultures, other groups of people, and I was able to learn from other people's background." -Markeith

The best spot on campus

Patrick F. Taylor because my original major on campus was an Electrical Engineering, but I do like the Business Education Complex Building as well.

Favorite thing to do in Baton Rouge

Go to the Mall of Louisiana in order to go catch a movie, or going out the eat. Life is not always about work. So, making time to yourself and enjoying life, while you are working is just as important. I believe self-care motivates us every day.

One thing first-year students should know

Where ever you go and whatever you do be excellent. - Oprah Winfrey stated something like this along these lines within her graduation speech to the graduating class at her alma mater Spelman University.

Education
