Our faculty have lead trips to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Cuba, Slovakia, Greece, and Thailand... just to name a few! These study abroad programs can range from one–five weeks and happen throughout the year and during semester intersessions.

Want to immerse yourself in a culture, take a semester or year abroad? Enroll at a university in your region of interest and take courses that apply to your LSU degree program.

International students can come to LSU for study abroad, a semester abroad, or to become an LSU student. There's plenty to do here, no matter what time of year! We have course offerings in a wide range of interest.


International Summer School at LSU

Two weeks of direct interaction with international students and faculty suitable for all students of agriculture and life sciences!  Join us to explore multi-disciplinary aspects of food and nutrition.

Practical experience, international setting, and LSU certificate in these focus areas:

Horticulture (fruits, vegetables, ornamentals)
Animal Science (horses, cattle, alligators)
Entomology (bees, crickets) 
Food Science (processing, entrepreneurship)

$950 for International students
$450 for LSU students
Scholarships available to LSU students!
Includes program fee, some meals, program transportation.

Successful students receive an LSU AgCenter Certificate upon completion of the program.
