Engage with Study Abroad
Are you ready to take the next step in enriching both your professional journey and the lives of your students? This is your invitation to dive into an extraordinary opportunity for growth, connection, and impact.
Engaging in a faculty-led program shapes the future of our students while enriching
your own professional and personal life. By leading a program, you’ll offer students
immersive cultural experiences that deepen their understanding of the world, provide
mentorship that fosters their growth, and open their eyes to new perspectives in your
field. Through hands-on, experiential learning, you’ll not only enhance their education but also your own, as you engage in meaningful, transformative work that broadens both your and their
horizons. Step up to lead a program and make an impact that lasts a lifetime.
Help Students Geaux Global!
As LSU faculty or staff, you can offer students life-changing global experiences. Our Study Abroad team is here to help you get involved in international or domestic programs for LSU students.
The resources below provide excellent starting points for your engagement with study abroad — you can learn about our current programming, collaborate with us to host a presentation for your students, or sign up for the Geaux Global Faculty Academy, our highly sought-after professional development series for faculty interested in designing new programs abroad.
Geaux Global Faculty Academy
As a dedicated educator, you play a pivotal role in shaping the global perspectives of LSU students. The Geaux Global Faculty Academy is designed to empower you to create transformative experiences for your students.
As part of the Academy, you'll learn from experienced study-abroad faculty at LSU and from established best practices in the field. And when you complete the Academy, you'll earn a $2,000 grant to support your study abroad program.
Tools for Faculty Directors
The following resources are for faculty who are currently directing a study abroad program or are working on a proposal for a new program.
We’re excited that you’re interested in running a faculty-led program! Our Associate Director of Faculty Development collaborates with faculty across the university to develop programs and provide administrative and logistical support. To ensure study abroad opportunities are accessible to all LSU students, our goal is to have every school and major represented in our faculty-led programs.
You’re the reason LSU students have access to global education opportunities. We’re excited to work with you again this year and ask that you please submit the following proposal documents.
