Nomination Packet Requirements
The Laurels are awarded to faculty receiving nationally prominent awards at the equivalency of a National Academies placement or the very top award in their respective fields. The award is not necessarily given each year, and there is no minimum or maximum number of recipients.
Eligibility
All faculty at any LSU campus across the state, except Boyd Professors, are eligible.
Nominators and Reviewers
Nominations may be made by deans or directors of any college or unit on any of the LSU campuses. Nominations may also be made by Boyd Professors, who must then recuse themselves from the process. Nominations should be submitted by July 1. Selection of Laurels will be made by August 1.
